Clerical Supervisor Generic Job Description

Supervises employees engaged in a variety of clerical, office, or administrative support activities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities and current status or work activities. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist employees in solving work problems. This position typically reports to a manager and is the first level of supervision in the organization.: Activities supervised include, but are not limited to, generating bills, statements, receipts, checks or other documents; copying information from one record to another; proofreading records or forms; counting, weighing, or measuring materials; sorting and filing records; receiving money from customers and depositing money; operating office equipment; operating phone systems; operating office computer equipment; addressing envelopes; stuffing envelopes; answering telephone; running errands; stamping, sorting, and distributing mail; and copying documents.
