Koorsen Fire & Security

Koorsen Fire & Security was founded in 1946 by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stroup as a fire extinguisher service company. Originally named Indiana Fire Prevention and Service Company, it was located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jane and George Koorsen, their daughter and son-in-law, assumed management of the company in 1954. The third generation became involved in 1970. Randy Koorsen started working with his parents while attending college. In 1984, Randy became President and changed the name to Koorsen Protection Services, Inc.

The company started unprecedented growth by expanding services beyond just the Indianapolis area. The initial growth started in the Midwest and expanded to the Southeast. The company name was updated to Koorsen Fire & Security in 2004 to better identify the scope of our services.
