Dan Gilbert
Dan Gilbert is Founder and Chairman of Quicken Loans Inc., the nation’s largest online home lender and a top-five retail lender in the United States.
Dan founded Rock Financial in 1985. The company grew into Quicken Loans, one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the country and, in the late 1990s, launched its Internet strategy and quickly positioned itself as the fastest growing direct mortgage lender on the Internet.
Dan is also majority owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA Development League’s Canton (Ohio) Charge, the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Lake Erie Monsters, and the Arena Football League’s (AFL) Cleveland Gladiators, as well as the operator of the Quicken Loans Arena (“The Q”) in Cleveland, Ohio.
Bill Emerson
Bill Emerson is Chief Executive Officer of Quicken Loans Inc., the nation’s largest online home lender. Bill is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and growth of Quicken Loans.
Bill joined the company in 1993 as a mortgage banker. His passion and commitment for learning and growing, and his zeal for taking care of clients, helped him take on many roles at the company. He pioneered Dan Gilbert’s Mortgage-In-A-Box concept, a way of doing business over the phone, which led to the centralized business model that Quicken Loans utilizes today.
Bill’s leadership ability has afforded him the opportunity to run several business units at Quicken Loans, including the early stages of the company’s web center and a joint venture with Michigan National Bank. Bill also led all mortgage operations for the company, where he was responsible for driving performance within all Quicken Loans businesses.
Jay Farner
Jay Farner is President and Chief Marketing Officer of Quicken Loans. Jay is responsible for leveraging the synergies between the company’s marketing and mortgage banking operations. This strategic alliance has played a key role in the company’s record $30 billion in retail home loan volume in 2011.
In addition, Jay serves as Portfolio Manager for the Quicken Loans Family of Companies, and is a director on several of the family’s Boards, including Cellerant, a biotechnology company focused on developing human therapeutics for blood-related disorders and cancer; Sociocast, an intelligence platform providing real-time audience data and user behavior to content companies and advertisers; ePrize, the leader in the interactive promotions industry; and Protect America, a leading home security company using cutting-edge technology to provide 24-hour protection for its customers.
Bob Walters
Bob Walters is Chief Economist and Vice President of the Capital Markets Group for Quicken Loans Inc. In this position, he develops new products and ensures all products meet investors’ standards for quality. Walters joined Quicken Loans, then Rock Financial, in 1996 after holding positions at both NBD Bank (now owned by JPMorgan Chase & Co.) and DMR Financial Services.
