The assistant QA food inspector reviews protocols, qualification, and validation procedures documented by the organization and follows those procedures. If a manufactured product does not meet quality specifications, the assistant QA food inspector investigates and reports production line failures.
Depending on the manufactured goods they're inspecting, they also test samples to verify the goods comply with company or federally regulated protocols.
This is a 2nd shift position that has mandatory overtime. You must be available for work on saturdays.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The assistant QA food inspector's responsibilities include inspecting, testing, sampling, and sorting products or goods being manufactured. Depending the type of manufacturing environment, the assistant QA food inspector can also be required to have some technical knowledge. In this type of profession, there are quality standards that are strictly followed, and daily or weekly production goals to be met.

Technical requirements can include basic computer knowledge. In most cases, the QA inspector will enter information into the organization's computer systems to keep careful records.
Food Service experience is a plus but a BS in Biology or Nutrition is a must
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree with Biology/Nutrition related Major
Must be able to follow both written and verbal instruction and to complete routine tasks independently.
Must be able to lift up to forty pounds, stand and or sit for extended periods.
